Year 2015 was anniversary for folk costumes in Finland and even I got very inspired. I didn't use though directly folk costumes as inspiration sources but got inspired by other traditional textile crafts. ”5 sekuntia parrasvaloissa”

We had a guest visiting our knitting meeting last Wednesday who interviewed also me for a really nice piece about knitting trends. We had also an English speaking knitter popping her head in our cabinet door and we were so startled that nobody realized to invite her to join us… So if you happen to read this, you’re more than welcome to join us next time :)

Still Panda

I’ve had a long time plan to make myself Still Light Tunic by Veera Välimäki. It was on my to do -list for a really, really long time, for years and I even got the pattern in the beginning of the year as a Mummot lumessa birthday raffle gift… Now I finally took the time to make it!

I did some modifications to the pattern and they are listed in my project page onRavelry, as well as modifications that I need to do to the next one. The biggest modification though was to mash-up the pattern with my own Panda pattern:

I’m really pleased with my new tunic!
