Twirly was inspired by InayaCreations gradient yarns and was a small and fast project I did in just a few
days. I was so desperate need of getting something finished from my needles
between all of my time consuming big cardigan projects. This beanies trick is
the twirl that is formed with lifted stitches that goes around the whole beanie.
The twirl makes knitting in otherwise a basic beanie a bit more interesting.
I’ve made my example pieces in colours Grayscale and
Grapes of Wrath. In the Grayscale version I’ve started the main colour from the
dark end of the skein and the contrasting from the light end of the skein. And
in the Grapes of Wrath I’ve started the main colour from the pink end of the
skein and the contrasting colour from the gray end of the skein.
